Maison Quantin

Superb and rare set of original drawings from the collection of Maison Quantin, a French printer and publishing house created in Paris in 1876 by Albert Quantin and which disappeared before 1914. A large part of the drawings presented here were used to illustrate the supplement (Volume 7) from the work Le Dictionnaire des Dictionnaires published under the direction of Paul Guérin in 1895. The other drawings were reproduced in numerous art magazines of the time such as The Revue des Arts Décoratifs, History of Music - Library of Fine Arts Education,... The drawings that we offer for sale date from the 19th century and are made in black ink. These are original drawings and not printed works. Prices are communicated on simple request. The formats are indicated under each photo and correspond to the format of the sheet (unless otherwise specified).
