Condition: cracks in the lacquer in places and some chips on the edges.
Slightly distorted panel.

Biography
André Nivard
Born April 21, 1880 in Paris. Died in 1969. French. Official painter of the navy.
Painter of nudes, interiors, landscapes, urban landscapes, seascapes, flowers, boxes of tapestries, watercolourist.
He was a student of Octave Guillonnet. He was sent to Egypt and North Africa as a marine painter.
He exhibited in Paris, at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he was a member from 1909. He began by taking an interest in flora, making various watercolor study boards. He also painted interiors of churches, views of Paris, the Normandy coast and many seascapes.
