Henri OLive-Tamari (1898-1980):
Born on 11 August 1898 in La Seyne (Var). 20th century. French.
Painter, engraver, ceramist and poet.
He participated in various group exhibitions. From 1949 to 1955, he participated in Paris
at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles, of which he was general secretary until 1954.
From 1955, he was director of the School of Fine Arts in Toulon.
Attached to the realistic tradition, before, and perhaps at the same time, which he exposed in the rigorously abstract context of the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles, he painted compositions impregnated with the influence of Delacroix and Courbet, of sensual still life in the spirit of Chardin, portraits in the Flemish way.
