Born August 5, 1891 in Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine - France). Died October 8, 1968. Twentieth century. French. Painter of various subjects, engraver, illustrator. It holds an important place in young contemporary engraving. Writer, he wrote an aesthetic treatise. His works appear in the main Parisian salons. Since 1925, he has preferred copper processes to wood engraving which he practiced previously. Sailboats, landscapes, seascapes, ports, portraits, nudes are treated with delicacy, the superfluous having to disappear. He illustrated several literary works, including Ubu Roi by Alfred Jarry
