RENÉ AUDEBÈS (1922-1993)
French artiste. Born on 15 October 1921 in Fongrave (Lot-et-Garonne - France).
Died on 30 September 1993 in Paris. French. He’s a painter, a cartoonist.
After his first studies in the Southwest, he came to Paris in 1944. He worked at the sketch studio of the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, then studied at the Académie Metzinger and became his assistant. Until 1953, he was then a professor at the same Frochot Academy. Until 1963, he facilitated various internships in plastic arts.
He then devoted himself entirely to his own research. He participated in group exhibitions in France and abroad. He showed ensembles of his work in personal exhibitions in Paris: 1980 Galerie Jean-Pierre Lavignes, 1990 and 1992 Galerie Lavignes-Bastille. His works are very graphic, his style and his themes are diverse. Often close to a certain abstraction, elements of reality remain identifiable, however, especially architectural indications.
